The  design  of this family home  has been  informed by the natural slope of the ground  and its measured position from the southern boundry of the site, which makes   provision   for  future   expansion .

A  tight staircase descends from the entrance hall at street level and reveals all at once the serenity of a space connected with the contour of the slope and indigenous garden beyond. An expanse of glass sliding doors shaded by a cantilevered concrete block of bedrooms above opens onto a timber deck and completes the setting for indoor outdoor living.

Further along, a bookshelf serves as focal point for a space which culminates in a double volume sunken lounge which is open to the floor above and connected to its contour at the bottom end of the site.
